On-Orbit Servicing (OOS)
Scope
The On-Orbit Servicing Group of GSOC's Space Flight Technology Department conducts
research, mission analysis and mission operations in the field of robotic space missions.
On the research side this includes the performance of hardware-in-the-loop simulations
and the development of guidance, navigation and control concepts for proximity operations
and rendezvous-and-docking (RvD) processes.
Apart from this, GSOC currently contributes to the definition of two on-orbit servicing (OOS)
missions in the frame of the DEOS and OLEV Phase-B studies. Furthermore, GSOC is a key
partner of the Swedish PRISMA formation flying mission, which is set for launch in mid 2010.
